Tablet Gallore!

Apple heeft de Tablet markt opgewarmd met de iPad en nu is tijd concurrentie. Samsung komt er aan met de Galaxy Tab. Zoals de naam al doet vermoeden is het een uitvergrote versie van de onlangs uitgebrachte Samsung Galaxy S telefoon maar dan met meer goeds. Hij krijgt volledige ondersteuning van de Android App store, Flash en het allermooist is je kunt er gewoon mee bellen.
Volgens de commercial komt hij aankomende week in Duitsland op de markt met een prijs tussen de 400 en 700 euro. Hopelijk doet hij ons land ook snel aan.
Aan de specificaties te zien wordt het een leuk hebbe dingetje.

Op naar Japan!!!

Volgende week komt hij dan eindelijk uit… Nee niet de Microsoft Courier maar de Libreto W100 van Toshiba. De 11e gaan de eerste de deur uit bij Toshiba en Japan is hun bestemming. Voor een slordige 1.100,- dollar kan hij van jou zijn. Geen zin om te wachten, dan is Import de enige optie om hem te krijgen. Na Japan is eerst de US aan de beurt. Dus het is nog even wachten geblazen maar het ziet er wel leuk uit.. Weet nog niet in welk categorie apparaten ik hem moet plaatsen en welke hij mogelijk zou kunnen vervangen. Met zijn boekvorm zit hij een beetje tussen een netbook en tablet in als je het mij vraagt, we noemen het voor het gemak maar een smartbook. Hopenlijk zien we hem snel in NL verschijnnen.

Alsof me HD2 niet al groot genoeg is. Ik krijg nog steeds dagelijks de comments, “heb je die TV weer bij je”
HTC komt met een overtreffende trap, de HD3. Nu moet ik nog broek gaan zoeken met zakken groot genoeg voor dit monster met een 4.5 inch scherm. Hij komt standaard met WP7 dus dat is ook mooi. Dit is wel een troost aangezien me HD2 geen WP7 upgrade krijgt.
De HD2 vind ik tot nu het beste Windows Mobile toestel en dat komt mede door de zware specs. Met de HD3 groeit niet alleen het formaat maar de specs zijn weer extra zwaar wat garrant staat voor telefoon plezier.

Mist Microsoft de boot?

Toshiba heeft voor hun 25ste jaardag een nieuwe gadget gemaakt de Libretto. Hij lijkt verdraaid veel op de courier die Microsoft eerder heeft gecanceld. Hij draait op Windows 7 met multitouch ondersteuning. Volgens de product manager van Toshiba is het een volwaardige Windows 7 machine die alle gebruikelijke apps zal ondersteunen.
Het is volgens de beste man nog een concept product. Ze gaan de markt rustig aff om te kijken wie er geintreseerd in is. Hij is ready to ship. Na de zomer zullen de eerste verschijnen.

Hij zal op 5 januari officieel aangekondigt worden door Google. Maar hier is alvast een uitgebreid filmpje te zien van de telefoon.. ziet er niet verkeerd uit.

Last year, this nostalgic wonderment appeared on the market for modern gamers with an old skool heart. Sadly, its availability only stretched as far as Japan, which to be honest was a little unfair – they get everything, our eager western hands get nothing! But now, thanks to the global phenomenon that is global commerce, we can inject some SNES action into our Wii game playing too, just like our Japanese gaming obsessed friends, with the Wii-compatible SNES pad.
The Club Nintendo Edition Super Famicom Controller will set you back $75 USD, which isn’t exactly chump change, but who said old skool was cheap? If you want vintage you’ve got to be prepared to pay.

Photoshop can go home now!!

Now you can edit pictures on the go, just go online to Sumo paint. It’s a totally free web-based photo editing program with no short comings. Just go to the site and start editing. It’s not a new program but I just found out about it and I thought let me share the fun. Because it beats paint and al other free stuff, you should give it a try. The Photoshop like GUI makes it easy to use. There are a numerous different type of functions. If you register a account you can save your creations on their server or just save them on your computer just as easy.

Carnival Colours: Special Limited Editions of the PSP

It almost makes you want to quit your day-to-day life, move to Japan, only eat chicken gyozas and buy one of these special edition, only available in Japan, PSPs, isn’t it? These are the “Carnival Colours” (although clearly that blue is not remotely carnival like) and they’re each $220, unless you plump for the additional 4GB memory stick, pouch, wrist strap and cloth, in which case you can add another $60 on.

Use your iPhone as a lie detector

Agile Lie Detector is a cool, real-time lie detector for your iPhone.
It uses Voice Stress Analysis technology to detect the stress level caused by lying. The stress level of a person’s voice is said to provide clues that he or she is in fact lying or not telling the truth. The output is displayed in real time through graphs and meters.
This technology was originally developed for military and intelligence use, and now you can use the same technology to detect lying and deception.
There are plenty of fun uses for it among friends, family, and “lovers” who wish to get to the truth.
